To whom it may concern,
Six weeks ago I had a breast reduction by tumescent liposuction performed by Dr. Grant Bellaney. Although still in the early days of recovery I am delighted with the way my breasts have healed and the overall look is a big improvement.
During the procedure I was very impressed with the respect and care that I received by both Dr. Bellaney and Liz, everything was explained and they were very aware of any discomfort. I was quite nervous before the operation but everything went so well and there was no real pain. The first couple of weeks my breasts were quite tender but that soon healed. I have also been pleased with the elevation or my nipples and the general lift of my breasts.
I would definitely recommend this procedure to anyone wanting a breast reduction without a general anaesthetic and major scarring.

As a recent patient of Dr. Bellaney, I would like to endorse the tumescent breast reduction procedure. I opted for this rather than a full breast reduction as it was less invasive and the recovery time considerably shorter. I have been delighted with the results.
The literature provided by Dr. Bellaney was both comprehensive and honest. It covered all my questions in detail and I found the descriptions of the procedure valid and true. So much so, that really I can't add any more to that other than to say that Dr. Bellaney was most solicitous throughout the procedure and efficiently administered additional pain relief where it was required. Obviously there is a level of discomfort but it is bearable especially with the pain relief available and the final benefits definitely outweigh those awkward moments.
The therapeutic massage as recommended as part of the post-procedure care is, I believe, an essential part of the speedy recovery and should be undertaken on a regular basis for 6-8 weeks. The therapist is most professional and the massage provides the additional benefit of an overall sense of well being.
Three months on I am delighted with the results. The back and shoulder pain is gone. I am becoming more active again as I no longer have to contend with such ponderous weight on my chest and I have a much more positive level of self-esteem. Friends tell me how well I look but can't actually attribute it to any one thing so the changes have gradual. This is important to me as I didn't want people noticing a radical difference and commenting accordingly.
I would like to thank Dr Bellaneu and his team not just for their professional expertise but also their supportive approach and would most definitely recommend this procedure to any woman who is serious about losing the burden of heavy, oversized breasts.

Dear Dr. Grant and Nurse Liz
Three months ago I had a breast reduction procedure by liposuction. I felt no pain or was uncomfortable during the procedure. I want to say how very happy I am as there is no weight anymore. Having a mammogram hurts more.
The healing and bruising time was minimal and I had no complications except being sore which every day lessened. There are no incisions only a few pinhole marks, which are fading and really nothing.
Thank you for a very professional and made to feel comfortable time.
Yours Sincerely,
J.M.
To whom it may concern,
In late January this year I underwent bi-lateral breast reduction performed very expertly by Dr. Grant Bellaney.
I had previously sought a surgical consultation for this matter from a Christchurch plastic surgeon who agreed reduction would improve the symptoms and discomfort I was experiencing, however the consulting plastic surgeon concerned felt that an anaesthetist would not want to undertake such an elective procedure because I have a glucose problem and require dextrose infusions prior and during any surgery. Some three years later and with worsening symptoms I sought a liposuction consultation from Dr. Bellaney who agreed I had significant discomfort, which could be improved by his technique. The issues, which I sought resolution or, were as follows.
Two months post liposuction I have none of the above issues, no scarring and breasts reduced by half in weight, I am very grateful that this was available to me, as I had no other realistic option.
Finally for me, as a 60-year-old woman, this was a safe, relatively comfortable experience with no side effects and a very brief recovery period. It has been a major benefit to me.

Dear Dr. Bellaney
It has been three months since I had my abdominal and hip liposuction at your offices and I just wanted to write and let you know how delighted I am with the results.
I had been trying to lose the weight for over two years (since the birth of my daughter) but no amount of dieting, exercising and herbal treatments made any significant difference. I tried Weight Watchers again (I had used Weight Watchers to reach my goal weight before I got pregnant) but it didn't work this time.
The extra weight, which centered on my tummy and hips made my life miserable. I was constantly being asked “when is the baby due?” and I had to resort to wearing loose fitting clothes to feel comfortable.
All that has changed. I am now able to fit into my pre-pregnancy clothes and I have a huge amount of self-confidence. I have also been able to increase the amount or exercise I do. I feel like I have a new lease on life!
So, thanks again for helping me get my old self back. I would definitely recommend the procedure to anyone thinking about having liposuction.
Yours sincerely
